msGUIDE at SoapBox Science 2025

On July 5, 2025, Munich’s city center hosted Soapbox Science, an annual outreach event that brings research out of the lab and into public spaces. The initiative aims to make science approachable, free, and inclusive—showing that scientific knowledge belongs to everyone. By featuring engaging talks from women and underrepresented genders in STEM, Soapbox Science challenges stereotypes, sparks curiosity, and celebrates diversity in research.

The msGUIDE team proudly took part in the event. One of the selected speakers was Jasmin Häberle, a PhD student and key contributor to the msGUIDE system. Jasmin explained how fluorescence endoscopy can improve the management of digestive diseases and emphasized the vital role of EU-funded projects in driving innovation and developing technologies that transform medicine and enhance patient care.

The event had a super fun Kids Corner where little scientists got to roll up their sleeves and dive into real experiments! From pipettes to colorful reactions, it was all about turning “Wow!” moments into hands-on discoveries. Because science is way more fun when you can touch it!
